After many a decade of sweltering heat, and bone shivering cold, astronomical heating bills and finally only after the hard work of a great number of people of the parish and parish administrators; the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus opened its doors to the congregation on June 23rd, 2013 with it's very own climate control system!  Welcome one and all!
Not only does this solve the comfortablility issue of the parishioners but maybe equally as important is the actions we can now take to preserve the 275 years of history that exist in our walls, paintings, and statues.    Building and grounds can now set their sites on the long term safety of our beloved Basilica.
